Welcome to Round Rock Montessori School
Our school was established in 1996 and follows Montessori philosophy. This philosophy fosters children's natural curiosity, initiative, persistence, concentration, adaptability, and inner security. Our program uses concrete “hands-on” Montessori materials in the classroom. Students can learn abstract concepts such as numbers when exploring quantities using concrete materials. Montessori schools differ from regular preschools as they believe in learning through using the senses.
Studies have shown that students who receive a Montessori education perform better than those taught by traditional methods. Montessori education helps children develop superior social and academic skills and is characterized by multi-aged classrooms,
where each child works at their own pace.
The teachers at RRMS are highly educated, with most having Bachelor's, Master's, and Montessori degrees. We prioritize academics but also make sure to provide ample time for fun and play. We understand the importance of playtime in developing children's social skills, including cooperation, negotiation, sympathy, and perspective-taking. We are always ready to collaborate with parents to enhance the effectiveness of our teaching methods. We also welcome their opinions to support Montessori education principles at home.
