  • Sue Desilva
    Ms. Sue de Silva is professionally qualified as an English Specialist Trained Teacher holding a first class certificate from the Teachers College in Sri Lanka. She also obtained Montessori certification before coming to the USA 25 years ago. Since arriving in the US, she has worked in Montessori schools in Texas and for a short spell, in California. Prior to this, she was involved with secondary education teaching classes ranging from grades 1 through 12. She has over 45 years of teaching experience. Ms. De Silva is currently the Director and owner of RRMS. Together with her husband, who was also an educator, they started the school in January 1996. From small beginnings, the school has now grown to a fully fledged operation with a beautiful building and friendly environment with a total capacity of 156 children. RRMS is the oldest Montessori school in Round Rock and has been rated the best three years in a row.
  • Julie Ryan
    Ms. Julia Ryan was accepted into the first American Montessori society’s teacher training course. After being certified, she pioneered Montessori in the area of the Johnson space center south of Houston during the race to the moon. She had children of astronauts, astronaut’s doctors and astronaut’s dentists as well as other professionals from the area. She had that school for eleven years before moving to Austin area. Some of her former students from that school are doctors, lawyers and airline pilots. “
  • Srini Abeydeera
    Ms. Srini Y. Abeydeera has been teaching in Montessori schools for over ten years. Before joining our team she taught in California, Kentucky and Wisconsin. She has over 13 years of experience working with children. Srini completed her Montessori teacher training certification at Contra Costa College in Berkeley, California and earned her child development associate certificate in 2004. She came to us from having lived in Japan for nearly 5 years and is able to speak Japanese fluently. Srini loves working with children and is delighted to be a part of the RRMS family.
  • Rajni Menhdiratta
    Ms. Rajni Menhdiratta holds a Masters Degree in Botany and in Education. She has taught grade K-11 for eleven years. She earned her Montessori certification recently. She holds a Montessori degree and is very competent. She joined our school three years ago. Her teaching approach is to follow the children’s lead in what they need to learn and when they need to learn. Her emphasis is teaching children according to their individual needs, as each child has a unique potential that is eventually revealed.
  • Cindy Glover
    Ms. Cindy has a B. A. in Psychology with an emphasis in Child Psychology. Cindy has worked with children for 30 years, including Head Start, Special Education, Montessori, and Early Childhood programs. Cindy’s approach to teaching is to provide a fun, tangible environment that is familiar to everyday life, freedom with limits while inspiring children toward self-direction and the experience of reward of accomplishment.
  • Leila Dakour
    Ms. Leila Dakour comes to us with over 25 years experience teaching children, and has several years experience working with special needs children. She was born and raised in Beirut, Lebanon where she received her education and has been in the States raising her own family for over 30 years. She is fluent in English, Arabic and French. She believes in being a positive influence and role model with all her students and always teaches them to aim for the stars.
  • Mary Huckvale
    Ms. Mary Huckvale obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas at Austin with a major in Elementary Education and a minor in English. She also has her Texas teacher certification. She taught the second grade for 4 years at a private school and has served as a substitute teacher for Austin, Hutto and Georgetown ISDs. She volunteers as a first grade religion teacher at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Hutto. Additionally, she is retired from the state, having served as an executive assistant for 26 years. She is officially our school secretary who does an excellent job. You will, at times, see her everywhere in school making sure that everything is in order.
  • Nancy Gibby
    Ms. Nancy Gibby obtained her B. A. from Sul Ross University in Elementary Education. She is now retired after teaching 37 years in Special Education and K-3 grades in public schools, 27 of which were with the Round Rock ISD. She is registered and actively involved in the he Boy Scouts of America. Nancy has been an active member of Delta Kappa Gamma, an international honorary women teacher’s society for 21 years. She writes the monthly newspaper for her local chapter, Kappa Lambda. Nancy is also a member and Sunday School teacher for the Hutto Methodist Church. She has her Texas teacher certification and is a devoted teacher and a great asset to RRMS. You will see her in the morning to greet you and also at the end of the day.
  • Rosie
    Ms. Rosie holds an AMI (Association Montessori Internationale) diploma from the Good Shepherd Montessori Training Centre in Colombo, Sri-Lanka, where Madame Montessori first introduced her technique in person to Sri-Lanka over 65 years ago. Ms. Rosie has been teaching, according to the Montessori method of education, for over 10 years. Ms. Rosie is gifted in music, playing the piano and the piano accordion. Ms. Rosie is the proud mother of three children. She is truly a valuable asset to Round Rock Montessori School, as well as the fact that she shares her musical talent and the children enjoy singing with her.

    Ms. Polly Irani joined our school last year. She holds a diploma in Montessori teaching and has proven to be a dedicated teacher who is a great asset to our Toddler program. She also has a Bachelor's degree in Sociology. She has travelled the globe and her diverse experience with a wide range of cultures has enhanced her teaching abilities. Her bubbly personality keeps the little ones happy.
  • vanitha
    Ms. Vanitha holds a Bachelor's degree in arts with a major in English literature. She has had prior experience working with elementary school students in India (up to 5th grade), and has also previously worked at RRMS during the time her daughter used to attend for 2 years. She is very patient with children, and strives to provide an exemplary learning environment during their early stages of their development.

    Ms. Janet Zamora has worked with children for many years. She speaks both English and Spanish. She works in the baby room and does a great job. She also teaches Spanish in the school. She was born and raised in Nicaragua, Central America. She has been married for 18 years and has a fifteen-year-old son. She holds a Bachelor's degree.
  • Hanaa Saad
    Hanaa Saad holds a bachelors degree in Philosophy from the University of Alexandria, Egypt. She has been working with children for the past 20 years. She is the mother of three children, with two attending universities in Texas.
  • jones
    Emily Jones has worked with children and young adults for the past ten years. She is currently working on a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work and would like to continue toward a Master’s Degree in Play Therapy. She enjoys watching children learn through play, growth, and development. Ms. Emily delights taking care of the babies in the infant room and has a daughter who is currently enrolled at our school.
